Edible Schoolyard NYC (ESYNYC) is excited to invite volunteers to help us host our Family and Community Fall Harvest Festival at P.S. 216 in Gravesend, Brooklyn!
About This Opportunity:
We are looking for volunteers to help run activity stations at our fall festival. Activities include:
- Welcoming families and handing out snacks, popcorn, and cotton candy
- Face painting and fall crafts
- Running fall games like pumpkin ring toss and pumpkin tic-tac-toe
- Helping kids make their own cookbooks with our garden recipes
- Leading a garden scavenger hunt and our “guess the weight of the squash” contest
- Assisting with gardening activities like potting up plants
- Helping families at our photo booth, pumpkin smash, and library table
We’re looking for volunteers to join us from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, but if you’re only able to stay for part of the time, let us know in advance — we’d still love your help! We will send additional event logistics and details to volunteers via email. Food will be provided.
Please note that all volunteers must be 18+ to participate.
