PD Workshop: Growing Your Curriculum

In this 36 hour course, you'll learn how to incorporate edible education into your curriculum! Open to all types of educators, Growing Your Curriculum is a free professional development workshop in cooperation with the NYCDOE's After School Professional Program.

Over the course of two weeks, you’ll learn how to start, maintain, and use a school garden and kitchen classroom with students. The workshop features sessions on community outreach, nutrition, and evaluation. Each day will emphasize a particular subject matter or method of teaching in the kitchen and garden including: Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science, Art and project-based learning. Come get your hands dirty in our half acre garden and network with colleagues about best practices in edible education.
This is a six-day course over two weeks: July 12-15 and 19-21
