Edible Schoolyard NYC partners with NYC public schools in all five boroughs to build school gardens that can serve as living classrooms, food production centers, community hubs, and more.In an increasingly online world, hands-on edible education can play an important role in creating more ecologically-focused school communities, and inspiring the next generation of climate advocates.
Join the Edible Schoolyard NYC team for an engaging Climate Week discussion about how even a small school garden can plant the seeds for a healthier and more sustainable future for NYC youth. Experts from our horticulture team will share how they plan and build ecologically-friendly gardens that are custom built for different school sites, and educators will share how they use the school gardens to create fun and meaningful lessons for elementary-aged students.
